Meet the Editor-In-Chief
My name is Andreanna Whittaker and I am the Editor-In-Chief from Rockland County, NY.
All I ever heard growing up was how “good”, or “perfect” I was being whatever everyone wanted me to be. This began the battle between trying to be my true self vs what my family wanted. The thing about living for others is that you get to a point where you feel nothing but completely emptiness inside. Writing has been my passion but always been on the back burner in my mind. During my senior year of college, COVID arrived interrupting numerous expected plans. I suffered post-grad depression roughly during the pandemic. All the dreams and preparation I had for the day I walked on the stage for my family didn’t happen. I was discourage about this one moment to acknowledge the 4 years of hard work and discipline. Two years ago I would’ve told you I would be working towards joining the FBI, but today I’m chasing my dreams. The pandemic made me realize it’s about what makes me happy since I will have to be the one living it everyday , no one else. So what to do now ? Flip the script & go for what I want!
